Our Story

Nick Martschenko is a Connecticut based restaurateur and the founder of SERG Hospitality Group, the team behind the South End and Uncorked restaurant concepts. What began in 2010 as South End on Pine Street quickly became a neighborhood favorite, known for its welcoming atmosphere, lively bar, and chef driven comfort food that kept guests coming back.

Today, that same spirit has found a new home at 17 Elm Street. Reimagined just behind Uncorked New Canaan, the new South End, "The South End Bar", brings back everything guests loved about the original. The familiar bar, the same inviting energy, expanded outdoor dining, and nearly all of the signature menu that made South End a local institution. It is more than a new location. It is the return of a neighborhood favorite.

Through SERG Hospitality, Martschenko continues to create community driven dining experiences built on quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality. By honoring the legacy of South End while embracing a fresh new space, he remains committed to giving guests a place that feels both familiar and exciting.
