I’m excited to share the story behind the reopening of South End Bar here in New Canaan.
South End originally lived at 36 Pine Street about 12 years ago, and it quickly became a place that people connected with—great energy, strong community, and a style that really reflected the neighborhood. Bringing it back now feels both nostalgic and incredibly timely.
This new iteration of South End Bar will be located at 17 Elm Street, just behind Uncorked at 15 Elm. The two concepts will share a garden space, creating a unique, connected experience for guests while still maintaining their own identities.
What’s especially meaningful is how this all comes together as part of a growing collection of restaurants under Uncorked. We’re building something layered here—different concepts, different moods, all within steps of each other, designed to complement one another and give guests a reason to stay, explore, and come back often.
Reopening South End isn’t just about revisiting the past—it’s about evolving it and planting it firmly into the future of New Canaan’s dining scene.
